Choose File|Save from the top of the file editor or press the key sequence Ctrl-S to save the file at its current location.

If the file has not been saved before the Save As dialog box will appear. See the Saving a New File Locally topic of this documentation for more information about saving a new file.

If the file is saved remotely and a connection is not established to the remote machine, you will be prompted to connect.

After a file has been saved, the next step would be to save the project.
