The slot count of the range index identifies the number of slots in the range index.

For example, if the base value is 1000, the slot size is 500 and the slot count is 100, then the entire range index will map values 1000 through 50999.

Any value above the value range limit falls outside of the range and is treated according to how the upper bound overflow flag is set.
