Weighting Value

Use the weighting value of the SpatialRectSearch command to specify the weighting value to apply to the search.

Each search request may be assigned a relative degree of importance by assigning it a whole number weighting value between 1 and 256. Weighting values are only important if the results are sorted by intrinsic weight. The intrinsic weight for an individual result is determined by combining the weighting values assigned to individual search requests with the relevancy ranking values and weighting values assigned to those indexes being searched at the time they were created. If no weight is assigned to a search request, a weight of zero is assumed.

If the index was created with relevancy ranking set, the request must carry a weighting value of one or more for the relevancy ranking to be considered when sorting the results.
