The SEARCH ONLY Exception List will be applied only during searching.

Use the Exception List of the Translate Table to define A list of words that are not to be stemmed. This could be proper names or words that have little to do with the root that would be extracted. Usually they will be words of specific importance within the context of the index.

Notice, if the words appearing in the Exception list would be stemmed, they would produce incorrect results. For example, if the word "fisher" didn't appear in the Exception List, and the stemming algorithm trimmed the suffix "er", "fisher" would be stemmed to "fish". Hence, queries for the word "fish" would return results for the word "fisher".
